Felina is the highest quality of breeding mare descending from the #1 stamm line in the world for producing International show jumpers, Stamm 776. The direct mother line has produced top horses including Livello, Calvados I, Calvados II, Crack, and Mareika.

Felina's sire is the one and only, Casall. Casall is considered to be one of the most elegant of the Landgraf sons out of one of the most successful Holsteiner mare lines. With his prolific Grand Prix career under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson making debuts at some of the most challenging courses such as the London 2012 Olympics, Herning Europeans, and World Equestrian Games. His exceptional offspring have put him in the top spot on the WBFSH sire rankings for 6 years. At 18, Casall was retired from competition fit as a fiddle. And this top athlete ended his career with a bang as his farewell involved winning a Global Champions Tour leg in front of a home crowd, all his fans and the Holsteiner breeders – an amazing feat! The expert audience agreed that this could not have been scripted any better. The farewell ceremony directly after the win in front of a teary-eyed audience was again very emotional. Casall – a living legend!

Casall is in a class of his own also as a breeding stallion. Various international top level competitions saw Casall compete against his own offspring – impressive evidence for his ability to pass on his quality. Only some of his offspring highly successful at international level will be mentioned, like for example Cupfer, a top prospect at the stable of Marcus Ehning, H&M Chilli Willi with Nicola Philippaerts (BEL), Austria with Kent Farrington, Caillou with Karl Cook, Casallvano with Daniel Deusser, Cita with Daniel Coyle, Chesall Zimequest with Simon Delestre (FRA), Casello under Ludger Beerbaum, Cristallo A LM with Philippe Rozier (FRA), Wunschkind with Eric van der Vleuten (NED), Casall under Ali Wolff (USA), and Caracas under Jos Verlooy (BEL), to name just a few.
Year upon year, Casall foals stand out for their convincing charm and class. On the occasion of his 2017 retirement from competition in Hamburg, eight elite foals by Casall were knocked down at an average price of almost 22,000 euros; the highest-priced foal of the 2017 Elmshorn foal auction, which changed hands at 34,000 euros, was by Casall, as well. At last year’s Stephex auction sale, the highest-priced foal were by Casall, as well, with a Casall-Kannan filly knocked down at 96,000 euros and a Casall-Vigo d’Arsouille filly sold at 50,000 euros.
A three-year-old Casall daughter drew particular attention in the Holsteiner elite riding horse collection and was knocked down at 150,000 euros.

​Felina's dam, Athene, is an exceptional daughter of Cayado/Concorde Athlet Z/ Cor de la Bryere. Athene descends from the #1 stamm line in the world for producing International show jumpers, stamm 776 . Athene was a premium foal who went on to have the 3rd best score as a three year old during her Mare Performance Test with 50 bonits. Athene’s great grandmother is full sister to the approved Stallions Calvados I & II as well as a full sister named U-Classic who also jumped internationally. Her great , great grandmother is Biserta , “Mare of the Century” , mother of 10 international jumpers and grandmother of the approved stallion Livello. Athene has many beautiful premium foals who are modern and leggy with open and fluid movement. She produced another filly by Casall in 2014, colt by Calido I in 2015 and a colt by Cash and Carry in 2016. In 2018 she produced a colt by Cornetino and is expecting a foal by Olympic Imothep in 2019. Also in 2019, Athene’s son, Carry The Cash HS (v. Cash and Carry) was approved for breeding with the Mecklenburg Studbook in Germany.​

Felina was a premium foal and was even invited to the Foal Championship in Germany the year she was born. She did successfully complete her Mare Performance Test in Germany and was then imported to the United States and began her broodmare career at the beautiful Wild Turkey Farm. Felina had 3 stunning foals there, a GOV colt by Cone Della Caccia, a GOV filly by Clintord I, and a GOV filly by Billy Mexico.

In 2022, Alpenglow Stables was given the wonderful opportunity to purchase Felina and add her as our very special broodmare. Her first year with us we bred her to the stunning, Diarado and she gifted us with a beautiful Holsteiner filly, Matilda AS.
